CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 2008
Sunday,
December 14th starting at 10:30 A.M.
Email sent to church members on 11/18/08 about practice for
the children:
This year we're going to have a special Christmas service dedicated to the
children, and perhaps the youth. I want to work with the children on Christmas
songs, so I will need your help to encourage your children to get involved! The
program will be on Sunday, December 14th.
I need to speak with Sunday School teachers to see how we can work with Sunday
School vs. practicing. Starting this next Sunday morning, I'd like to work
with the children starting at 9:50 A.M. We will start by going over a few
basic Christmas songs, and see how creative we can get!
I need parent's help in controlling the kids, perhaps directing a play,
costumes (if desired), etc.! We can make this as big or small as you'd like
it to be. If you'd like a nice production, then we need lots of help! Feel free
to email me with your ideas, but also be willing to volunteer to make it
happen...
We're also hoping to work out a small lunch and incorporate our dessert
cook-off on this day, following the services. This is still in the mix, so
don't say "Steven said so"...yet.
I look forward to working with kids (ages 3 to Grade 5). If Tim and the
youth decide to do something, that will include "youth." I believe
this is the correct ages for the children, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
I plan on having Mrs. Sharon play the piano, me playing the guitar, and perhaps
a few recorded background music for the kids to sing to. I think this will be a
memorable moment for the families at Brazos Bend!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT EVENTS/SCHEDULE GOING AGAIN!
A supper will be available to
purchase at church every week to pick up between 5:45 and 6:15 P.M on Wednesday
nights. You must sign up by contacting Lorrie Jones by the Monday before the
Wednesday of the meal. Costs are $4 for adults, and $2 for children (smaller
portions). You can email her at lkj20610@consolidated.net.

AWANAs has moved to Wednesday
nights, starting at 6:15 P.M. Check out the special themes night for AWANA for
the rest of the school year by clicking here.
The Women’s Ministry will be
doing many Bible studies series for 2008! Click here for more information.
