The mission of
Beliefs
The
Lord Jesus Christ is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is, was and
forever shall be God.
Jesus
Christ is the one mediator between man and God and desires everyone to have a personal relationship with Him.
Jesus
Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, sacrificially died for our
sins, was resurrected and now reigns victorious forevermore.
The
Holy Bible is inerrant and divinely inspired by God Almighty. It is sufficient
and authoritative as a complete guide to our
daily living.
Salvation
is a free, eternal gift of God. A person must dedicate their life to Jesus
Christ to receive this gift by asking them into their hearts by first admitting their a sinner, believing that Jesus died for their
sins, and committing to accept the
free gift God gives us all access to and live the way He commands us in the
Holy Bible. To put it another way: one must repent of sin, “die to themselves,”
and trust in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus, through His death on the cross,
provided salvation for all. A true believer cannot lose their salvation;
it is secure, however, one may lose or ignore the “joy” and choose a sinful
life with consequences to follow.
Jesus
wishes no one to perish, for He is love. Yet those who reject Him will perish
for their sins.
Baptism
is by immersion under water after
one has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This is the way Jesus was
baptized. "For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in
baptism you were also raised with Christ …." Col. 2:12 (GN)
We
recognize that giving back 10% of income earned is the biblical standard of
giving. It is God’s money to begin with, and He only asks for a tenth of it
back. "A Tithe of everything you produce belongs to the Lord: it is holy
to the Lord." Lev. 27:30

Worship
Each Sunday beginning at 10:30 am the church praises the Lord Jesus Christ through music, prayer, testimonies, and listening to an inspired message giving insight to God's Word. We also make an active effort to avoid falling into routine religious activities "according to the tradition of men" (Colossians 2:8).

A nursery is provided for Sunday School and worship services each Sunday morning and for most special events. Also, nursery is provided for Wednesday night activities.
Community Outreach
The church has a vested interest in the spiritual condition of the Brazos Bend area. Direct mail campaigns are conducted to keep people knowledgeable of opportunities to get involved with the church through special events. Members conduct lifestyle and friendship evangelism to help others see what it means to have Christ in us.

History of our Church
The church had its beginning in the manner of the early New Testament churches, by first meeting in private homes when Pastor Orville Roberts started a home Bible Study September, 1986. On January 18, 1987 the church began to meet in two mobile homes on land donated by Mary Belle Day. The church purchased a historic chapel building from the George Foundation which was originally built 1917 in Beasley. The first service held in the chapel at its present site was on Easter Sunday, 1987. Later that year, Bob Freeman was called as pastor. The church became self-supporting in 1988.
The church
replaced the two mobile homes in 1988 with an education building constructed by
the Texas Baptist Men, a missionary group of retired men who travel around the
country in RVs helping to erect church buildings. In 1994, the Texas Baptist
Men returned to Brazos Bend to help with a new building that seats 250 people
and adds more classrooms. The Lord had blessed
The Lord's will
was clearly seen in the construction of the new building through a donation of
the exact number and size of pews needed from the
The church has since then completed a new fellowship building as well as a youth building and converted the previous fellowship hall into much needed classrooms. All this construction was done in phases using faith financing to avoid debt.
